Ken has recently become a Trustee of the board of LimbPower, the organisation in the UK that supports the participation of people who have limb difference in sport and the arts.

In 2019, in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust, Ken authored a short video to highlight the work of LimbPower. This showed LimbPower brings parents and practitioners together to support young people who have limb impairments.

Recently Ken re-edited some video interviews that had been held at the time of the original project. You can link to these here.

LimbPower talks to different professionals about limb difference and school physical education.

The Practitioner describes the work of LimbPower, in particular the role that they play in linking young people with limb difference to the professionals who can provide support. There’s specific mention of the UK government scheme to provide young people with sports blades that enables them to become fully involved in the physical education programme.

In the Parent’s Perspective we hear from a mum whose son has become more active through the sports blade scheme.

The Limb Centre video outlines how they support a young person in receiving a prosthetic limb.

In A Teacher’s View, a teacher talks about ways in which they integrate young people who have limb impairments into the PE programme.

And finally, Olivia’s Story is a powerful personal account of one young person’s journey following a traumatic road traffic accident.
